Frequently Asked Questions
Most Popular
Can you buy milk at the Collection Depot?
NO! Sorry, all milk must be pre-purchased for collection in accordance with MPI’s Sale of Raw Milk legislation.
What’s the difference between your milk and others on the market?
We’re a seasonal farm and our milk has a USDA NOP organic certification, with no chemical input into the production of our milk on the farm. Our girls are grass-fed all year round with some organic hay supplement over the Autumn and Winter months. We’re a farm direct producer; practicing eco-ethical production systems from farming to manufacturing and retail. Our goal is to produce a clean superfood for everyone to enjoy.
Glass bottles or Plastic bottles?
Glass bottles are an imported product to New Zealand, and has a substantial amount of non-recyclable associated plastic is used in the arrival of glass packaging, so this is a current area of research for Three oaks organic. Our current circular eco-ethos is to find renewed use for our packaging choices. We collect any of our returned washed and sqaushed packaging products and find a a second-life use in the way of farm posts and water pipe guards made by a local manufacturer located within an hour of the farm.
How often are you audited?
The USDA NOP organic certification status is audited once a year for the farm.
The manufacturing plant is audited once a year for the RCS Sale of Raw Milk.
Each of the Collection Depot Partners are audited 2 times a year.
