It’s been a very good year on the farm, mostly due to the work achieved last Winter as we concentrated on the farm infrastructure and resting the girls.

We’re looking forward to getting into some more maintenance on the farm and an exciting upgrade in the manufacturing plant that will help us become more efficient in future.

So the last milking date is the 17th of May. 
The Farmgate will be open 7 days 7am-7pm until the 10th May

The deliveries for Collection Depots and residential deliveries so look like this….

Teresa and I (David) are pleased to announce the arrival of our new raw milk depot!!! 

Mangaroa Farms in Whitemans Valley Upper Hutt is now a registered Raw Milk Collection Depot. We’re looking forward to the continued collaboration, working with the amazing Mangaroa Farms team.  Orders will be placed through our website for collection at Kete Kai every Friday from 12pm.  The first delivery will be on the 15th OF MARCH.

Mangaroa’s Farm shop; Kete KAI has an awesome range of produce from their farm for sale.  Here’s a link to their online store, pre-order and collect your fresh goods and milk on the same day! 

OTHER EXCITING NEWS!

At the same time, we have recently had our milk tested for the A2 protein and it came in at 91.4%. So our herd’s milk is 91.4% A2 and we will hopefully have our herd completely A2 in two or three seasons. All our milk and yoghurt products will have branding to reflect this. 

ON THE FARM

We’ve had an awesome Summer season, abeit a little dry currently on farm so we are feeding a bit of silage to the girls. This may affect the taste of the milk or at least some may find that the taste has changed.  Predominantly they’re pasture fed and right now, the milk has 20% more protein and fat in the new season.

Hope you’re enjoying the new season’s milk & yoghurt.  We’re definitely seeing a higher percentage in protein, calcium and fat in this season’s harvest compared to last season.  Fantastic grass available for next season which is about to be baled for Summer.

We’d like to thank you all for allowing us to take the time over Winter to prep for the rest of the year. It’s definitely improved the condition of the farm and the girls have improved immensely.  Some of the initiatives that we’ve started over the Winter are now starting to come to fruition; so here’s the latest……..

COMMONSENSE ORGANICS TORY STREET WGTN

If you connect with us via social media, you’ll know that we’ve been working on getting a Raw Milk Collection Depot for Wellington City.  This is finally coming to fruition and should be up and running by November at Commonsense Tory Street.  The team have been awesome in supporting the service and the collaboration as been about creating access to you all.  All orders for collection at Depots need to be made through our website.  You can subscribe by joining the herd on our website.

GOGREEN EXPO

Wellington TSB Centre 4^th-5^th November – Saturday & Sunday

We have complimentary tickets available this week at our collection depots. Come and say hi, we’ll be there on both days with yoghurt and milk tastings or join a free bonsai, yoga or other class available from 10am-5pm.

EGGS

The Chooks are on fire and living their best life.  Pasture raised, free range, organic. We’ve been able to drop the price of eggs to $11 per Doz.  Amazingly good yolks packed fresh daily for deliveries the following day.

MANGAROA FARM  

Mangaroa farm is an awesome biodynamic market garden in Whitemans Valley Upper Hutt and have recently opened their Kete Kai Store Friday afternoons, Saturday & Sunday & their honesty fridge during the week.

They now stock our Pasteurised Whole Milk, Pot Set Yoghurt, and super creamy Raw Clover Honey.

STANDING ORDERS – CONFIRM ORDERS

• If you have a standing order with us from last season, please re-order through our online store to reactive and confirm your regular delivery.
• We’ll send you an AP reference for your bank details with confirmation of your order.
• If you’d like to hold, change or cancel your order at anytime, please email us at orders@threeoaksorganic.co.nz & we’ll arrange it.
• For orders to be put on hold, please remember to adjust your AP’s accordingly.

ALL ORDERS THROUGH THE ONLINE SHOP

• Need to be placed prior to 7pm before the day of delivery.  We’re in production from 4am to ensure your order is on the road by 7am.  
• Late orders will be added to the following weeks delivery 

FARMGATE VISITS

• Please don’t write on the register that you are paying online, use the farmgate option through our online shop
• We have installed a camera system which will be going live soon.  It allows you to view the fridge and product availability prior to coming out.
